What is aluminium foil made of
Aluminum foil is made from an aluminum alloy, which is primarily aluminum but also contains other elements like iron and silicon to enhance its strength and puncture resistance.
The alloy is created by rolling molten aluminum and other metals into thin sheets. While pure aluminum is used, most household aluminum foil, such as Reynolds Wrap,
is about 98.5% aluminum, with the remainder being these other metals to give the foil its desired properties for various applications.
