What are the types of aluminum foil?
There are many ways to classify aluminum foil, which can be classified according to its thickness, shape, state or material.
1. Aluminum foil can be divided into thick foil, single zero foil and double zero foil according to thickness difference.
A. Thick foil: foil with thickness of 0.1~0.2mm.
B. Single zero foil: foil with thickness of 0.01 mm and less than 0.1 mm/.
C. Double zero foil: the so-called double zero foil is the foil with two zeros after the decimal point when its thickness is measured in mm, usually aluminum foil with thickness less than 0.0075mm.
2. Aluminum foil can be divided into rolled aluminum foil and sheet aluminum foil according to shape.
Most of the aluminum foil deep-processing blanks are supplied in rolls, and only a few handicraft packaging occasions use sheet aluminum foil.
3. Aluminum foil can be divided into hard foil, semi-hard foil and soft foil according to state.
A. Hard foil: the aluminum foil that has not been softened (annealed) after rolling will have residue on the surface without degreasing treatment. Therefore, the hard foil must be degreased before printing, laminating and coating, and can be directly used if it is used for forming.
B. Semi-hard foil: aluminum foil with hardness (or strength) between hard foil and soft foil, usually used for forming.
C. Soft foil: aluminum foil that becomes soft after full annealing after rolling, with soft material and no residual oil on the surface. At present, soft foil is used in most application fields, such as packaging, composite, electrical materials, etc.
4. Aluminum foil can be divided into one-sided polished aluminum foil and two-sided polished aluminum foil according to the surface state.
A. One side polished aluminum foil: the aluminum foil rolled by double rolling is bright on one side and black on the other side after being rolled. Such aluminum foil is called one side polished aluminum foil. The thickness of aluminum foil on one side is usually not more than o.025mm.
B. Two-sided polished aluminum foil: single rolled aluminum foil, two pictures in contact with the roller, two sides of the aluminum foil can be divided into mirror polished aluminum foil and ordinary two-sided polished aluminum foil due to different surface roughness of the roller. The thickness of two-sided polished aluminum foil is generally not less than 0.01mm.
5. Aluminum foil can be divided into plain foil, embossed foil, composite foil, coated foil, colored aluminum foil and printed aluminum foil according to the added state.
A. Plain foil: aluminum foil without any other processing after rolling, also known as plain foil.
B. Embossed foil: aluminum foil with various patterns pressed on the surface.
C. Composite foil: composite aluminum foil formed by combining aluminum foil with paper, plastic film and cardboard.
D. Coated foil: aluminum foil coated with various resins or paints.
E. Colored aluminum foil: aluminum foil with a single color on the surface.
F. Printed aluminum foil: aluminum foil that forms various patterns, patterns, words or pictures on the surface can be one color, up to 12 colors.
